Important information regarding the COVID-19 situation
Please find below information about the recent force majeure changes regarding freight costs and delivery times as well as updates on our current working situation.
We are all experiencing the worldwide impact of COVID-19. Geveko Markings would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the actions that we are taking.
Employees working from home
As a global company, with production sites around the world, we are aware of our responsibility and are taking all necessary precautions to help contain the spread of the virus.
Although we have been forced to make radical changes to our normal ways of working, we are doing our best to continue our business while keeping our employees safe and healthy. We are now working from home but are still able to help you with any queries that you may have.
Fully operational production facilities
We are pleased to inform you that our production facilities are still up and running and so far, our raw material supply has not been interrupted. Our warehouses and production facilities continue to provide customer deliveries. We are producing the orders we receive daily, rather than for stock. We are doing this in order to sustain the highest level of flexibility for you all.
Guaranteed delivery time currently invalidated
Unfortunately, we cannot escape the fact that the COVID-19 crisis has consequences in terms of the time it takes to process and deliver all orders. Our current contractual agreements for specific delivery times are invalidated due to the increased transit times worldwide. This is a matter of force majeure and we will of course do our utmost to ensure that you receive your orders as soon as possible.
Important changes in freight costs and delivery
Please note that the forwarding agencies have also initiated stricter delivery demands, which requires you to confirm a contact person along with a phone number for all shipments.
If no one is available on site to receive the shipment, the goods will be returned to Geveko Markings, as the forwarding agencies do not have the capacity to store goods that could not be delivered. Please be informed, that the costs for this will be added to your customer account. Indeed, all extra freight costs relating to the COVID-19 impact will be forwarded to customers as matter of force majeure.
We appreciate your understanding and continued cooperation and we strongly believe that we can overcome these challenges if we work together. We are here to help you with any questions or enquiries you may have.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
