Spectacular rainbow street in Sweden

A whole street in the Swedish municipality of Höganäs has recently been painted in the colours of the rainbow with our waterborne AquaRoute™ paint.

If you want to know what is at the end of the rainbow, perhaps you should visit Pridesgatan in Höganäs, situated north of Helsingborg in Sweden. Here, our customer Svevia has used our AquaRoute AQ HP to create this stunningly colourful street.

AquaRoute is our line of waterborne road marking paints which are characterised by their easy use and fast-drying abilities. There are no special restrictions in order to work with AquaRoute products as they consist of non-hazardous material that have a minimal environmental impact. With a full pallet of bright colours available, AquaRoute therefore proved to be ideal for this application.

The rainbow street - which is very fittingly called Pridesgatan - was used as the perfect backdrop for the municipality’s first Pride festival that took place on 27 May. Here, hundreds of people came together to celebrate diversity and equal rights for everyone, which the rainbow colours have long been associated with.

The street has created a lot of attention in the local area, and it shows the ability of horizontal markings to put focus on different types of subjects. Markings like these can become a local attraction, but also a conversation piece and a place for people to gather for different social purposes.

Do you have a marking project in mind? Please don’t hesitate to contact your local Geveko Markings representative – we are ready to guide you on the way!
