Geveko Markings enters agreement to acquire Oré Peinture to strengthen core businesses and accelerate global growth

Geveko Markings has entered into an agreement to acquire leading French road marking paint and safety materials manufacturer Oré Peinture. The acquisition enhances Geveko’s offering.

The acquisition is the biggest in Geveko Markings’ almost 100-year history and customers of the combined entity will benefit from an enhanced solutions offering and a broader product range.

“The acquisition marks a significant milestone in our efforts to grow the liquid markings segment and to offer our customers a complete portfolio of road marking solutions. Oré brings many attractive products and solutions, and we look forward to leveraging our global setup to grow these areas to the benefit of our customers, asset managers, surface owners, and most importantly, road users and pedestrians” says Jesper Salskov Jensen, CEO of Geveko Markings Group. Mr. Salskov Jensen then adds: “I also look forward to welcoming the entrepreneurial employees of Oré to Geveko Markings. Oré’s focus on innovation and customers aligns perfectly with our culture and together, we will provide a market leading and comprehensive solutions offering that will meet current and future customer demands”.

Oré provides products and solutions for customers within the road marking materials, accessibility &. safety, and industrial &. building segments. It has a strong presence and position in France but has also grown internationally over the past decade.

“Since its founding in 1992, Oré has built a strong position on the French market for road marking materials and accessibility &. safety products as the leading independent supplier” says the founder of Oré, Gilles Salles. “I am happy we found a good home for Oré. The acquisition will bring together two talented and innovative teams within liquid road markings, area demarcation and decorative solutions and the Oré team will become part of a leading organization focused on improving mobility and safety globally” Mr. Salles adds.

Geveko Markings and Oré have complementary product portfolios and limited geographical overlap and the acquisition will broaden the group’s geographical footprint and facilitate growth and supply chain synergies. The two companies share cultural traits. Both companies have customer-centred and entrepreneurial cultures and focus on delivering innovative solutions that create value for applicators, surface owners and end-users alike.

Oré is scheduled to become part of Geveko Markings Group on December 17th, 2020. Oré Group has 185 employees and the acquisition will increase the size of Geveko Markings’ business by roughly one-third.
