New position paper on road markings and microplastics
The ERF (European Union Road Federation) has published a new position paper where they clear up some of the many misconceptions about road markings and microplastics that have previously prevailed!
ERF concludes that the link between the two has often been exaggerated based on fundamentally wrong assumptions. They go on to suggest that the best way to minimise microplastic pollution from road markings is to select durable high-quality road markings and implement proactive maintenance programs to ensure that the road markings are kept at the highest possible level.
This is vital for the safety of human drivers and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) alike...
.. And that, we can only agree on!
