Tactile Markings
Markings to guide and warn the visually impaired
TacPad™
The domed TacPad tile makes it possible to alert visually impaired pedestrians about where it is safe to cross the road and where there is a change of direction. It works by creating a relief patterned contrast to the surface of the pavement which is detectable by foot or with a cane.
Benefits of TacPad™
- Improve the tactile guidance on existing surfaces without any big investments or cumbersome projects, as TacPad can easily be added to most horizontal surfaces without the need for reconstructing entire areas.
- Get a flexible, fit-for-purpose tactile solution as TacPad comes in different formulations depending on the requirement, and can be applied with glue, pressure sensitive adhesive, or a preformed hot melt adhesive.
TacGuide™
TacGuide is a tactile marking that guides people with visual impairment. The ribbed TacGuide informs you of and guides you through hazardous areas in the traffic, and in places such as train stations and airports.
