Creative art installation brought to life in Bristol

Our DecoMark™ material plays a central part in turning a previously grey asphalt area outside a UK art studio into a vibrant and engaging space.

In cooperation with TCN UK, Molly Hawkins is the artist behind this colourful public art installation in Bristol, UK.

The project aims to raise the visual impact of the area between the art studio, Temple Studios & Temple 1852, and the adjacent train station. It involves three key elements: Painted concrete seating, a 60 m-long hand-painted floor artwork, and last but not least, two thermoplastic floor crossings produced in our DecoMark™ material.

To quote Molly Hawkins’ website*, this installation brings “colour, creativity, and a touch of playfulness to the heart of Bristol.” It is a perfect example of the possibilities using our colourful DecoMark™ material. With its easy application, flexibility and bright colour options, this material is ideal for creative projects like this.

From grey area to engaging space

The project first started four months ago when we were approached by Molly Hawkins, who requested information about our DecoMark product. She sent over designs for the project, and once these were approved, we manufactured and arranged installation and application training.

The project was finished in April, and all parties were delighted with the outcome, with many positive comments from the general public.

At Geveko Markings, we are proud that talented artists use our decorative surfacing products to transform spaces into engaging and vibrant environments.

Do you also have a decorative project where our markings can make a difference?
